An Introduction to Shakespearience

Since 2022, The Shakespearience has become primarily a one man show with our director/producer/senior actor, Darren Hirst taking Shakespeare into arts centres, schools and pubs.

Then in 2025, we gave up our theatre in Hammersmith, Ravenscourt Arts. Darren was moving out of London, and this seemed like the best way to go.

The days of 30 person cast and crew were behind us, and costs were no longer sustainable.

However, in 2026, we have decided to make The Shakespearience a small group of performers – at least for a time.

Amongst those involved will be Shakespearience alumni like Samantha Fields, Athena Fairchild and David Thrower
